Campus Events

The Student Activities Office is dedicated to offering vibrant, engaging programming for all students that embraces student-centered learning. The staff treats students to music, games, and food/drinks throughout the year at sponsored welcome-back events, holiday socials, various celebrations, leadership development, and more. Educational topics include (but are not limited to) the United States Constitution, drug and alcohol awareness, voter education and registration, student leadership, and Title IX.

Constitution Day/Citizenship Day
Each year, on or near September 17, Isothermal Community College holds an appropriate event to commemorate Constitution Day and Citizenship Day. Information about this event is available via student email, campus flyers, and more.

Grub Day and Sports Day
The Student Activities Office's biggest events are the cherished traditions of Grub Day and Sports Day. Students join Isothermal Community College’s faculty and staff in enjoying a free picnic lunch or dinner and engaging in a variety of ever-changing games and activities. Guests are welcome to pay a fee to purchase a picnic lunch or dinner. During these events, the college opens Lake Imogene to the college community and the public for fishing from sunrise to sunset (no fishing license needed).

Paint the Campus Blue
This newer tradition at Isothermal Community College is a free, fun-filled, family-friendly community day designed to celebrate college and community spirit. The college opens Lake Imogene to the college community and the public for fishing from sunrise to sunset (no fishing license needed).
